“In Spite of All That”

– a work of fiction about an ordinary 20^th century

Canadian woman of 58 who, on the brink of suicide,

looks back over her life as she writes farewell letters

to her loved ones. As she does so, she sees, with new

understanding, the triumphs and failures of her life,

its satisfactions and regrets.

The setting is Perth Ontario and her early life takes place in small-town Manitoba, Winnipeg and Ottawa.
